ระหว่างวันที่ 15 กันยายน ถึง 23 ธันวาคม 2559, ผศ ดร ธวัดชัย ธานี และ ดร. เพ็ญแข ธรรมเสนานุภาพ นักวิจัยหน่วยปฏิบัติการการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศและการปรับตัว ร่วมกับ ศาสตราจารย์ ดร. Randall C. Kyes และ ดร. Pensri Kyes จาก Center for Global Field Study และ Washington National Primate Research Center, University of Washington, Seattle, Washington, USA เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดหลากหลายกิจกรรมวิชาการ เพื่อเสริมสร้างความตระหนักรู้ของชุมชนต่อความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างคนกับสัตว์ตระกูลลิง กิจกรรมที่ได้ดำเนินการ ได้แก่ การวิจัยร่วมเรื่อง “Healthy Coexistence between Human and Non-human Primates: A one Health Approach” ณ วนอุทยานโกสัมพี, การจัดอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการประจำปีให้กับนิสิตระดับปริญญาตรี ภายใต้ชื่อ “The 5th annual “Field course in Conservation biology & Global Health: At Human-Environment Interface” โดยได้รับความร่วมมือจาก คณะวิทยาศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น, Southeast Asian Center–The Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies–University of Washington และ One Earth Institute (non-profit organization, Seattle, USA) นักวิจัยยังมีส่วนร่วมในการการจัดการเรียนการสอนในรายวิชาระดับปริญญาตรี คณะสิ่งแวดล้อมและทรัพยากรศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหาสารคาม ได้แก่ 1706211 Ecological Concepts for Environmental & Natural Management และ1705486 Principles of Forest and Wildlife Management นอกจากนี้ นักวิจัยเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดกิจกรรมชุมชนเพื่อสร้างความตระหนักรู้การอยู่ร่วมกันระหว่างคนและลิงให้กับนักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย กิจกรรมเหล่านี้ได้รับงบประมาณสนับสนุนบางส่วนจากทุนนักวิจัยผู้มีผลงานโดดเด่น มหาวิทยาลัยมหาสารคาม
On September 15th to December 23rd, 2016, Assistant Prof. Dr. Tawatchai Tanee and Dr. Penkhae Thumsenanupub, researchers in the Climate Change and Adaptation Research Unit, MSU in cooperated with Prof. Dr. Randall C. Kyes and Dr. Pensri Kyes from the Center for Global Field Study and Washington National Primate Research Center, University of Washington, Seattle, Washington, USA hosted multiple academic activities aiming to provide international education and raising public awareness on sustainable Human-Wildlife Interface. Key activities include a cooperative researching on “Healthy Coexistence between Human and Non-human Primates: A one Health Approach” at Kosumpee forest park, annual workshop arrangement under the title “The 5th annual “Field course in Conservation biology & Global Health: At Human-Environment Interface”, collaborating with the Faculty of Sciences–Khon Kaen University, Southeast Asian Center–The Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies–University of Washington and One Earth Institute (non-profit organization, Seattle, USA). They also joined in special lectures in the MSU undergrad classes, which are 1706211 Ecological Concepts for Environmental & Natural Management and 1705486 Principles of Forest and Wildlife Management. Besides, they hosted community outreach activities to raise public awareness on sustainable Human-Primate Interface for high-school. These activities are partially supported by MSU ฮisiting Profess scholarship.
15 ตุลาคม 2559 ถึง 15 กันยายน 2560, ผศ. ดร. เอริกา พฤฒิกิตติ นักวิจัยหน่วยปฏิบัติการวิจัยการเปลี่ยนแปลงภูมิอากาศและการปรับตัว คณะสิ่งแวดล้อมและทรัพยากรศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหาสารคาม ร่วมกับ สำนักงานทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม มุกดาหาร เป็นผู้รับผิดชอบหลักดำเนินงานวิจัย ภายใต้โครงการพันธมิตรเพื่องานวิจัยด้านการรับมือของเมืองเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ (ปีที่ 3) งานวิจัยมุ่งประเมินความสามารถในการปรับตัวของประชาชนในเขตเศรษฐกิจพิเศษมุกดาหารต่อปัญหาจากภัยธรรมชาติและการเติบโตของเมือง และ ยกระดับทักษะวิจัยเกี่ยวกับการปรับตัวของเมืองต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงภูมิอากาศของนิสิตระดับปริญญาตรี ทุนวิจัย 250,000 บาท สนับสนุนโดย UCRSEA โครงการ UCRSEA เป็นความร่วมมือระดับนานาชาติ ดำเนินการร่วมกันระหว่างสถาบันสิ่งแวดล้อมไทย, มหาวิทยาลัยโตรอนโต, มหาวิทยาลัยยอร์ค และมหาวิทยาลัยออตตาวา ประเทศแคนาดา
October 15th, 2016 to September 15th, 2017, Assistant Prof. Dr. Arika Bridhikitti, a researcher in the Climate Change and Adaptation Research Unit, in cooperated with the Mukdahan Office of Natural Resources and Environment has been responsible for implementing research under the Urban Climate Resilience in Southeast Asia Partnership: UCRSEA (Year 3). The research aims to assess adaptive capacities of Mukdahan Special Economic Zone to the problems relating to the extreme natural disasters and urban growth and to build capacities of undergraduate students in urban climate resilience research development. Total research grant is 250,000 baht, supported by UCRSEA. The UCRSEA is the international collaboration of Thailand Environment Institute, University of Toronto, York University and University of Ottawa, Canada.
